Nose thread lifts use the same PDO (polydioxanone) thread material as Aesthetica's facial thread lifts, a dissolvable suture material with a long track record of safe use in surgery, providing a safe, convenient way to sculpt the nose without invasive surgery or the risks of dermal filler in this area.
Nose threads address concerns such as a droopy tip, a low nose bridge or a small hump. The threads are gently inserted under the skin from the tip of the nose, where tiny barbs grip the skin to provide lift and support. Over the following months the threads gradually dissolve into water and carbon dioxide, and while they dissolve they stimulate collagen and elastin in the skin, continuing to lift the nose for 12 to 18 months.
